Is ‘Crumb Begging Baghead’ the worst track on Shotters Nation?
Our visitors seem to think so. We’ve been running a poll to gauge visitors favourite track of the new Babyshambles album Shotters Nation, and whilst so far there’s no clear winner, there’s a clear loser.
Hmm, yeah, okay its only 300 people and its not scientific or anything but its as relevant as anything the BBC do, so like go with it. When asked which is their favourite Shotters Nation track least people voted for ‘Crumb Begging Baghead’. Which quite clearly makes it the worst track, doesn’t it..? I have to admit I prefer the version of this song thats, erm, floating around on the ‘unofficial’ demo of the album. Slower, acoustic and not so harsh. Crumb Begging most definitely is not the best track Petes every produced.
So what do you think, is ‘Crumb Begging Baghead’ the worst track on the album? And if so why? Leave your comments in the form at the bottom of this page. ![]()

It’s the best song on the album after You Talk!

i don’t think its the worst and I’m not even sure if the fact its no ones favorite means its the worst as a lot of people just may find it mediocre but not the worst. You should really ask specifically which people like left to find out the true answer.

Crumb begging baghead and French Dog blues let down what is a great album. The rest is what i hoped for. He should have punched Ian Brown Square in the face so that french dog blues would have stayed in his head

CBB is beautiful. Especially after a smoke. You close your eyes and fly with that tune. Do not underestimate it!

Are you serious?

In a word no. For many of the people it could be there 2nd favourite track…Of course this cant be reflected in your surrvey as you can only provide one answer and that is your Favourite track.
Learn how to read your results properly, they dont show its the worse track they show that it’s not many peoples favourite track and you cant prove anything more with that surrvey and results. But as I said it could be 2nd choice for many people you dont know either way your clutching at straws.

All songs are really good, but I admit my favourite track is Lost Art of Murder or Carry on Up the Morning…
Pete is a poet! It doesn’t matter which song is worst because there isn’t a bad song!

CBB is the worst track on the album by long mile! Not keen on Ian Brown outside the Roses and he should have kept his thoughts to himself. A blot on an otherwise faultless album. Unbilotitled’s the best. Are they sure Kate Moss had a hand in any of these!!!
